Mixed Media Works on Panel, on Paper, Sculptures & Weavings
This selection of mixed media works were influenced by the flora & fauna of Alberta, stretching from the Northern boreal forest, through the Rocky Mountains and Southern Plains. Each piece incorporates natural and/or recycled elements like shed birch bark gathered from the forest floor and Northern wildflowers used for dyeing fabric and paper. The process of gathering and preparing raw materials allows a connective thread from the experience in the natural environment through to the finished works.
